How do I join a room?
Using the Invite link or QR code
Invite link: When you receive an invite link from a peer, copy and paste it into the search bar and press enter or you can directly click on the link.
Also, you can click on ‘+’ button next to the search bar, select ‘Join Room’ and paste the invite link there.
Using the QR Code (For mobile) :
If you receive a QR code, click the ‘+’ button next to the search bar, select ‘Join Room’, and use the scan QR button next to the input box.
You can also scan the QR code using your device’s camera. This will provide the invite link, which you can use to invite peers.
Where do I find rooms to join?
Rooms on Keet are mainly accessed through invitations from other peers. However, as a new user, you can also explore public rooms via the “Discover Communities” feature in the room lobby.
How to join public rooms
1. Click “Discover Communities” in the room lobby.
2. You’ll see 5 public rooms available to join:
Pear Community: a vibrant community where p2p technology enthusiasts gather to discuss their interests.
Bug Bandits: a room to report bugs and collaborate on solutions to improve the app’s performance.
Keet News: a space to get the latest updates on new app features and all things Keet.
@bitcoin: a lively space where Bitcoin enthusiasts share updates, news, and insights about cryptocurrency.
Pear Development: where developers meet to collaborate on building apps within Pear runtime.
3. Check the box next to the rooms you want to join and hit “Join”.
4. You’ll automatically join rooms where someone is currently online.
5. Once inside, the rooms will appear on your list.
Tips:
Feel free to explore different rooms and engage with the community.
Don’t forget to check pinned messages in rooms for important updates or info.
