What is a room in Keet? How can I make a room in Keet?

A room in Keet is a dedicated space for secure communication, where you can chat, make calls, and share files with others.

To Create a room on desktop:

1. Open Keet: Click the "+" button next to the search bar.

2. Select Create room and choose the preferred room type:

   1. Group Chat for interactive communication, or

   2. Broadcast for a read-only channel where only moderators and admins can post.

3. Acknowledge the responsibilities associated with the Admin role, and check the box to confirm it.

4. Name your room. You can also choose a room icon and post a room description if needed. Confirm all the above by clicking “Create Room”

To create a room on mobile:

1. Open Keet and tap the ‘Start chat’ button above the search bar.

2. Select New group chat, name your room, add a description (optional), and tap “Create group chat”.

3. You can also toggle on “Broadcast Feed” for a read-only channel where only moderators and admins can post.
