How do I start a new chat or call someone on Keet?

1. Open Keet and create/enter a room.

2. Invite Peers & once they join, you can start chatting.

3. Initiate a call: Click the ‘Start Call’ button at the top of the room interface to start a voice or video call. Ensure that your microphone and camera are enabled.

4. During the Call: Use the in-call controls to manage screen sharing, microphone, and camera settings.

DMs

You can also send a DM request to someone. To do it, open this user’s profile and click on DM request:

You’ll be able to invite this user to chat by writing a message and clicking “Send request”:

How do I share my screen on Keet?

You can share your screen during a call using in-call controls.

Keet supports multiple people sharing their screens at the same time, making it great for collaborative sessions like team meetings or workshops.

Before sharing your screen, make sure Keet has the necessary Screen & System Recording permissions granted in your device settings. Without these permissions, screen sharing may not work properly.

For the best performance, we currently recommend sharing your screen or using your camera, but not both at once—especially for the presenter. Running both can be demanding on your computer's processor and may impact performance.
